Overview

Jordi worked with the creators of MasterChef, Endemol Shine, to create a series of long-form videos to showcase former MasterChef Junior competitors. The young chefs brought their own recipes to the table, to showcase their tastes and personalities.

Challenges & Approach

Working with minors always presents a series of challenges. For one, having minors on set requires following a series of detailed rules and regulations. Typically, this translates into having less time with talent and a premium on getting each take right as quickly as possible. Additionally, minors require a delicate touch when it comes to feedback. You can't just bark at kid chefs like they're your line cooks. There was definitely a fine line to walk.

The result

The videos delivered a balance of MasterChef Junior charm while standing alone as individual recipe videos for audiences of all ages to enjoy.
